Mocha Milkshake

I was on the same website and this milkshake looked amazing. Coffee and ice cream are two of my favorite things, so I thought I would add this recipe to the collection I am starting!

Ingredients:
1 tbsp coffee granules (or instant)
4 scoops vanilla ice cream/ or frozen yogurt
85 grams of dark chocolate - I like 75-80% cocoa
700 ml of low fat skim milk
Low fat whipped cream for garnish

Instructions:
  1. Roughly chop 75g of the chocolate and put into a large jug with the coffee. Bring 300ml of the milk just to the boil, then pour over the chocolate and coffee mix, stirring to melt. Once melted, cool.
  2. Tip the cooled mocha milk into the blender with the ice cream and remaining milk. Blitz until blended, then pour into 4 tall glasses. Add an extra scoop of ice cream to each, if you like, then grate a little of the remaining chocolate on top.

  • 1 (5 ounce) can solid light tuna, packed in oil
  • 1/2 cup cooked fragrant rice, such as jasmine or basmati
  • 6 medium-size black olives, drained, sliced and coarsely chopped
  • 1 small tomato, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon white wine vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme, chopped fine
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 large tomatoes (beefsteak varieties work well)
  • 4 lemon wedges
Instructions!
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Coat a square baking dish with non-stick cooking spray; set aside.
  2. In medium bowl, combine tuna, rice, all but one teaspoon of the olives, chopped tomatoes, minced garlic, vinegar and thyme. Add salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Slice top off 4 large tomatoes and scoop out the flesh and seeds. Fill to top with tuna and rice mixture. Place tomatoes in baking dish.
  4. Bake stuffed tomatoes in oven for 12-15 minutes or until filling is hot. Remove, garnish with chopped olives and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
This recipe takes about 25 minutes and it serves 4!

Hello!

Hi, my name is Katheryn Jane Samuelson. I am currently in college and I have a passion for cooking and home related activities. I love the outdoors and I really enjoy being as healthy and fit as possible. I try to eat gluten free and dairy free the majority of the time and I enjoy finding recipes that are as clean as possible. I am excited to start posting recipes that I have found online or have created in the past few years. I have TONS of recipes and I really need somewhere to put them all, so why not online? Anyways, hopefully when time allows I will be able to post some outdoor activity articles and stuff that I have pieced together over the past few years. That's it for now!
